Ama Waterways River Cruise March 2018

Jackie was lucky enough to join a group of travel agents on the Ama Kristina for a short River Cruise from Amsterdam from the 22nd to the 24th March 2018.

Ama Kristina has an elegant and relaxed feel with and décor with vibrant colours, luxurious fabrics and fresh flowers. Image may contain: sky, outdoor and waterThe lounge at the aft if the ship has an outdoor seating area and the bar and tea and coffee station are close to hand.

The cabins are again with elegant décor, superb comfort and with amenities including hairdryer, robes, slippers, TV/pc. The bathrooms have walk in shower with standard and rain forest showerhead options.

Wi-Fi is included and available throughout the ship. The main restaurant offered dining for all meals.  Breakfast and Lunch was a choice of chefs specials cooked to order, an omelette station and a large choice of hot and cold buffet choices,  fresh juices etc. at breakfast and salads and hot meals choices for lunch. The Dinner menu offered the chefs choices for the day, and a varied choice each evening plus staples always available such as steak, chicken and salad. Special diets can be catered for on request.

The evening entertainment is varied and low key with a mix of local and regular artists. Guests can enjoy a variety of excursions and there is a late riser option and different levels of activity to suit all fitness abilities. The cruise can accommodate wheelchair users but guests may have restricted access to some areas and excursions. The staff are extremely accommodating and on hand to offer advice and assistance at all times.

My favourite area would be the sun deck with the inviting pool and swim up bar, giant chess set and plenty if space to relax and enjoy the scenery as you watch the world go by. The cruise would suit clients who enjoy a city break with options of group excursions,  exploring independently or cycling. Golfers would enjoy the golf themed breaks combining this with a relaxing cruise between golf courses.
