Viura

Like the Marques de Riscal, Viura is a visually stunning example of contemporary architecture and is unlike anything we've encountered before. It is made up of a series of irregularly positioned cubes that appear to balance precariously on top of one another and these form a stunning contrast with the surrounding traditional buildings of the tiny hamlet of Villabuena de Alava.

All rooms and public areas have large picture windows that allow guests to experience wonderful views of the Rioja Alavesa wine region; Viura has 33 spacious bedrooms in a modern style and a gastronomic restaurant (closed Mondays). Communal swimming pool next door is free. The hotel is located a short drive from the towns of Laguardia and Elciego and is a great base from which to visit many of the fabulous vineyards in the area.
