Itinerary details

3 NIGHTS SYDNEY

Touch down in Sydney. A perfect introduction to Australia, this beautiful city is set around one of the world’s most famous harbours – thanks to the icons that are the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. The Park Hyatt sits right on the harbour, in the shadow of the bridge, guaranteeing some of Sydney’s best views.

Nearby is the historic Rocks district – explore the winding streets, visit the food markets and enjoy delicious food and local wines in one of the buzzing restaurants. You should also take a ferry or a cruise around the harbour and under the bridge (the terminal is right on the doorstep), before returning to relax by the pool deck, drinking in those quintessential harbour views.

2 NIGHTS WOLGAN VALLEY

Your next stop is the Wolgan Valley and the luxurious Emirates One&Only, which is nestled in 7,000 acres in a conservation reserve in the stunning Blue Mountains. As well as incredible landscapes of mountains, dense green forests, dramatic rock formations, winding rivers, cascading waterfalls, blanketing mists and vast skies, you’ll be surrounded by Aussie wildlife such as kangaroos, wallabies, wombats and colourful birds.

Enjoy scenic treks, horse rides, and guided 4WD safaris and evening stargazing tours, and refuel with delicious seasonal, organic dishes, made with produce grown in the gardens. This is a chance to find out for yourself why Charles Darwin was so taken with his visit to the valley in 1836.

2 NIGHTS ULURU

Today, you’ll fly from Sydney to Uluru, where you’ll have a few days to admire the spectacular red rock, and explore the unique landscapes of the Outback and their spiritual and cultural significance for indigenous people.

Your hotel, Longitude 131°, is truly special – this luxury camp (which redefines the term ‘glamping’) directly overlooks Uluru, so as well as enjoying exclusive tours in the area, you can also savour uninterrupted views, including memorable sunrises and sunsets, from your private deck. At Table 131°, enjoy Australian specialities and local wines, accompanied by evocative storytelling and the distinctive sound of the didgeridoo.

3 NIGHTS PORT DOUGLAS

Fly to Cairns and make your way to Port Douglas, whose beachfront glamour, balmy temperatures, glitzy resorts and postcard-perfect beaches, not to mention its close proximity to the Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, have attracted visitors from presidents (Bill Clinton) to celebrities (Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Mick Jagger…). Live the celebrity lifestyle by strolling along the pristine palm-fringed Four Mile Beach, and wine, dine and shop in the designer boutiques of Macrossan Street. At one end of the street is the marina, where the rich and famous park their luxury yachts.

Your base here is Thala Beach Lodge/Nature Reserve, which sits on a private peninsula south of the town, overlooking the sea – perfect for a sunset cocktail or two.

4 NIGHTS GREAT BARRIER REEF

Finish your Australia adventure in style by flying to Orpheus Island in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, a secluded hideaway which has its own luxury resort and national park, and offers spectacular views over the Coral Sea. Take a picnic out on a boat around hidden coves and beaches, and go snorkelling and diving to discover the rich marine life of the reef.

Back on the island, relax on the beach, by the pool or in the spa, and enjoy a private sunset dinner on the pier, featuring a personalised menu created specially for you.
