Sunconnect Los Delfines Hotel and Apartments

Sunconnect Los Delfines Hotel and Apartments, Cala n Forcat, Menorca
July 2017

I’ve just returned from a great holiday at the Sunconnect Los Delfines for our family travelling with 6 adults and 4 boys aged 10,9,7 and 3. The one bedroom apartments are lovely and spacious, well equipped and large balcony. We had 2 X 1 bed apartments in block C, 204 and 205 in a quiet area near to the gym and spa rooms. The front overlooks the pool and is sunny in the mornings until lunchtime. The bedroom has small sliding doors onto a further small balcony overlooking a back road with the sea in the distance.

The food was fantastic, great choice, great quality and constantly freshly replenished. The restaurant indoors had a ‘canteen’ feel and we always chose to sit on the outside terrace area for meals which we preferred. Great choice of drinks, ice creams, lollies and slush drinks on the all inclusive with two bars open all day. Recommend trying Riki’s cocktail from the pool bar!

The pools and area are very busy and sun beds are locked up until 9am. Some guests were leaving towels on the floor around the pool from around 8am in the morning to reserve their ‘pitch’ for the day which we did not join in with and I would like to see the hotel remove these it is unnecessary and defeats the object of locking up the sunbeds. We would always get sun beds near to the child’s pool without a problem and there were plenty of parasols and spare beds available.

The boys loved playing football on the Astro turf, inflatable are allowed in the pool and lots of guests pass on their inflatables to new families when they leave, which we also did.

All of the staff from reception, maintenance, restaurant and bars, cleaning team and entertainment team are all so friendly and helpful and work extremely hard, any minor hiccups that we had such as broken kettle, problem with air con were sorted within half an hour of mentioning.

We took the bus a couple of days and went to Cala Galdana beach (change bus in Cuitadella) and direct bus to Cala n Bosch and also walked to the nearest beach at Cala en blanes. We also walked to the lovely cove from the hotel which is fab for snorkelling with loads of fish, this one has a minuscule beach but lots of rock bathing areas with steps into the water. I recommend taking wet shoes for swimming as some beaches/coves were rocky, especially the best snorkelling areas.

Fantastic holiday and I would recommend the hotel to other families.
